Julie Powell in the Kitchen!

Recently, I proclaimed my admiration for Julie Powell and Julia Child. I bought the Julie & Julia DVD, and three books (two by Powell, one by Child) all about their cooking and life experiences. So when I found out that Powell will be appearing on the Bravo channel this week, I just had to share!

The celebrated author of Julie & Julia—which we all know and love, thanks to Amy Adams and Meryl Streep's fabulous characters in the namesake movie—is joining celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito during an upcoming episode of his show, Rocco's Dinner Party.

Tune in to Bravo Wednesday, July 20th at 10PM/9c to watch Chef DiSpirito prepare a tasty French menu complete with all the atmosphere of a chic and savvy dinner party. After cooking her way through Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Powell knows a thing or two about serving glamorous food. So she'll be helping the chef and other celebrity guests critique two French-style dinner parties.

Meanwhile, one lucky viewer will win a trip for two to New York City to attend the October NYC Wine and Food Festival. Prize includes round-trip airfare for two, a two-night stay at an NYC hotel as well as tickets to the Wine and Food Festival! Viewers can tune-in to Rocco's Dinner Party Wednesdays, 10PM ET/9C on Bravo to answer three weekly questions pertaining to each week's episode. Submission form stays open until Saturday at midnight. After answering all three questions, submit your information to be entered to win. Enter every week to increase your chances of winning - every weekly submission counts as another entry!

The "Watch & Win" contest application can be found on Chef DiSpirito's Facebook page. The contest goes LIVE @ 9PM (ET) Wednesday night.

*I was contacted by a third party to share this information at my own discretion on my blog. I was in no way compensated by Bravo, Julie Powell or Chef DiSpirito to create this post.
