{Quad Squad} How We Feed 4 Babies + Video Bonus!

Recently, I braved into the land of the unknown, i.e. taking care of four little babies by myself. Seeing as I was flying solo, I courageously took on the bottle feedings with valor and successfully fed and burped my sweet screaming quadruplets in under half an hour.

We've come so far since the first few weeks after we brought the quads home. They each had to be hand-fed and it took 1.5 hours with two people to get everyone's bottles down. Then we had to suction their noses, do extra burpings, hold them for awhile, etc. due to aspiration and reflux. When you're feeding every three hours, you end up with only 30 minutes to an hour in between. But recently, we were able to transition to bottle props and it's made my life go from good to fantastic!

Wanna see how it went down? Fair warning: It was early morning and I look like death have no makeup on. Not a stitch. If that still didn't scare you away, then hit the play button, my friend, and be in awe. ;)

(And don't forget to scroll further down for a bonus video of Harrison rolling over for the first time!)

One more look at the single-feeding setup:

...and the big boy rolls over!

Happy Sunday, y'all.

  2. Oh man! I am SO glad that you are able to feed the kids this way! Ours had major feeding issues, so they had to be fed one at a time to watch for aspiration, reflux, etc. Ours took 1.5 hours with two people feeding to make it through all four. So glad that bottle days are over!

Also, those little feeding animals are nifty! Where did you get them?

    1. Well...we spent over a month doing ours one at a time! It took 1.5 hours for us as well and that was also with two people. It was EXHAUSTING, as I'm sure you remember. Just two weeks ago or so they started taking to the bottle props. I'm so glad! Will have to edit my post to note that we didn't start out this way, lol! Bottle props came from abcdistributing.com. LOVE them.

  5. How sweet! I have been following you since your pregnancy, but have never commented. I have prayed for y'all so much and just wanted to say how much I admire you guys. I love your attitude and zest for "whatever comes our way." I have six kids (ages 15 to 5) and wish I had your attitude sometimes! :)
